“One of the great cosmic laws, I think, is that whatever we hold in our thought will come true in our experience. When we hold something, anything, in our thought, then somehow coincidence leads us in the direction that we’ve been wishing to lead ourselves.” ~ Richard Bach
Do you believe in coincidence? This is a conversation I seem to be having a lot lately. Recently I was discussing with my eleven year old son. He believes there is such thing as coincidence, but I chalk that up to being young.
I believe everything in life happens for a reason. You create your reality whether consciously or in your subconscious. You attract what you focus on.
For example, do you know someone who continually has “bad luck”? These people seem to have bad things happen to them over and over. You’ll usually hear them talking about how bad life is and their bad luck. These people are continually focusing on their misfortune, thus attracting more of it into their life.
On the other hand, think of the friend(s) who seem to attract everything good into their life. Sometimes these are the annoying friends who are always talking about how good their life is, they’re always smiling and you might refer to them as a Pollyanna. Often they have the life you wish you had, thus the reason you may find them annoying. By focusing on the positive in their lives, they are attracting more of exactly that, this is not coincidence – it’s creation.
Often when someone comes into our life, we’re introduced to something new, find new information or stumble upon something at “just the right time” we chalk it up to coincidence. The reality is that it is not coincidence at all; you’ve attracted that certain thing into your life somehow, by your thoughts and actions throughout your life. This is a much deeper subject than what we can cover in this one blog, however there are thousands of books, studies, classes and the like about the Law of Attraction and other theories having to do with coincidence.
When you open yourself up to the idea of managing your mind, focusing on what you want and staying positive you will notice more “coincidence” happening in your life and you’ll see your “good luck” improving.
